ABOUT

Using new technologies to increase efficiency and integrity in traceability

Electronic Trackit (eTrackit) uses new technologies to increase efficiency and integrity in traceability. It tracks the volume of certified material for each product (rather than the entire transaction) online via tokens, shows the real-time inventory of eTransactions, and ensures third-party verified peer-to-peer validation of transactions within a closed-loop supply chain.

OBJECTIVES

Integrity with greater efficiency

  • Track certified material beyond the change of legal ownership to key transformation stages.

  • Reduce the transaction processing and lead time on data.

  • Track certified material at the individual product level.

  • Increase integrity with third-party verified peer-to-peer validated eTransactions in a closed-loop system.

Textile Exchange has created the space where the industry comes together to share best practices and drive progress towards transformation. We’re excited to bring our technology into that forum to help drive meaningful change and measurable impact.
TIMELINE

We're completing improvements identified from the pilot findings

We completed the Recycled Content Standard (RCS) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) eTrackit pilot in August 2022. We are currently completing improvements identified from the pilot findings and expect to release the RCS and GRS for commercial use on eTrackit tentatively in July 2023. We will be piloting the Organic Content Standard (OCS) and the Responsible Animal Fibers (RAF) in June 2023 and Responsible Down Standard (RDS) in 2024.
